Bank Verification Number- BVN is an initiative of the CBN to ensure transparency, security and easy assessment of data in accordance with best practices in developed countries. Launched February 2014, the BVN gives each customer a unique identity that can be identified and verified across the Nigerian Banking Industry (not peculiar to one Bank).

• Go to any commercial bank with a valid ID card and fill a BVN enrollment form.

• Your BVN will then be sent to your phone number after a few days.
